In Farkle (also known as 10000, Cosmic Wimpout, Greed, or Hot Dice), the goal is to score more points than your opponents. Each turn, you roll dice to try to get a higher score. Once a player reaches 10000 points, the player with the most points at the end of the round wins.
Farkle is multiplayer! You can play by yourself, or with up to eleven of your friends. To get started, enter a name for yourself (ex: "farkle-player-100") an a room name. The room name can be anything you like (ex: "joan's room"). If you're playing with others, they can join your game by using the exact same room name.
Once you select Play Farkle, you'll see the scoresheet and an option to Start Game. Be sure all other players have joined before you start the game! They will not be able to join after you start the game.
First, you roll your dice, by pressing the Roll button.
Based on what you rolled, set aside any scoring dice in order to bank them to your score later. This is based on the table below:
1 = 100 points | Four of any number = 1000 points |
5 = 50 points |
Five of any number = 2000 points |
Three 1s = 300 points (can be customized to be 1000 points) | Six of any number = 3000 points |
Three 2s = 200 points | 1-6 straight (1,2,3,4,5,6) = 1500 points |
Three 3s = 300 points | Three pair = 1500 points |
Three 4s = 400 points | Four-of-a-kind and a pair = 1500 points |
Three 5s = 500 points | Two triplets = 2500 points |
Three 6s = 600 points |
Once you've set aside at least one die, you can bank your dice, which adds your set-aside dice to your score, and ends your turn. The first time you score, it must be with at least 500 points. After that, you can bank any amount.
Once you've set aside your dice, you can keep rolling the dice that you haven't set aside. If you're able to set aside all your dice, then you can re-roll everything - this is known as hot dice 🔥. If at any time you roll the dice and nothing can be scored, then your turn immediately ends, and you lose all your set-aside dice. This is known as a Farkle.
Play continues until the first player reaches either 10,000 points. Once that happens, by default, the remaining players who haven't yet gone in the round will get one last chance to beat that score. The player with the most points at the end of the round wins!
By popular demand, we've recently introduced a number of custom rules to make gameplay more fun! You can enable custom rules by selecting Customize game rules after you create a room but before you start the game.
